Ingemar_35Ingemar turns the 35-year mark and celebrates with many new interventions along the Italian coasts: from Livorno to Bari, via Monfalcone, Sistiana, Venice and Loano. The Italian company also confirms its leadership in a market in which Italian-made products are increasingly appreciated and counts new jobs abroad: Montenegro, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait. In the latter nation itself, a new city is rising from the desert, with docks overlooking the Persian Gulf. La’ala Al-Kuwait Sabah Al’Ahmad Sea City. is an astonishing project that is making a new city of 100,000 people rise from nothing on more than 200 kilometers of new coastline overlooking a network of canals and lagoons carved out of the desert and also includes the construction of two new marinas, for more than 1,200 berths. Ingemar was called upon to manage the executive design and supervision of the on-site construction of all reinforced concrete and steel floating structures, ancillary works and anchoring systems for the two marinas.

The numbers are impressive: the first marina has 6km of floating docks and fingers anchored with more than 300 poles to allow more than 400 boats up to 40m long to moor. Construction of the facilities for the new port is ongoing and will continue, uninterrupted, for about two more years. The second marina boasts almost double the size of the first: more than 800 berths up to 30m and 11 km of floating docks and fingers. The structures of the two new port settlements include monolithic floating concrete piers and breakwaters with widths of 3 and 4 m and lengths up to 20 m and fingers with dimensions up to 30×3 m. www.ingemar.it
