The worlds of yachting and fashion, love to meet at the dock. Not surprisingly, marina piers are reminiscent of fashion week runways, and from this association Gaastra probably took its cue to present its spring-summer 2015 sportswear collection in the magnificent scenic space of Piazza San Pietro in Porto Venere. A unique setting, which for the first time hosts a fashion show just a few steps from the sea and boats moored at the dock. Gaastra has sailing in its blood: founded as a sailmaker in 1897 only since 1996 has expanded its market with the launch of several lines of nautically inspired “pret à porter” clothing. The latest collection bears witness to this ancient connection with the use of typical zigzag stitching. taken up by the seams made on the sails.
