CS_39_A7ES0799Surfing at last! Cast off the moorings and off, heading out to sea, to new destinations. But life on board, especially on a cruise, is full of a thousand facets, of balances that are often subtle, just as subtle is the line between a memorable cruise (said with a smile this big) and an unforgettable one (the grim look with which you utter this word says it all). To help you avoid the latter situation, we asked an expert what to do (and not to do) when cruising. Carlo Rimini (photo below), born in Trieste, a lawyer and contributor to La Stampa, has been sailing for years with his family aboard the Oceanis 411 October Blue along the Mediterranean. he is the one who reveals some of the magical places to drop anchor, but also the magic of night sailing or the pleasure of a dinner on board as the sun sets. Charles also addresses two of the most important issues when sailing, namely the relationship between the captain and the crew and dealing with the unexpected. In addition, find in this service eleven more “tips” designed to ensure you have a happy cruise, right from before you leave. Indeed, do not underestimate the importance of a carefully done galley, or of knowing how to use the on-board toilet properly (no smiling…). So that you too can say that your cruise was unforgettable! Find the full article in the July issue of The Journal of Sailing.
