ICE33The smallest boat in the range of ICE Yachts, the Italian shipyard based in Salvirola, Cremona, Italy, will differ greatly from its “big sisters.” The ICE 33 will be a small racing “bolide.” It too, like the 44, 52, 62, 72, 80 and 100, came from the pencil of Umberto Felci, but if for these boats the philosophy of performance cruising had been followed with the 33 the yard enters the world of pure racer.

FOR THOSE WHO LOVE RACING
The boat will be made of carbon and composite, and will weigh only 1,750 kilograms. 10 meters long, it will have a maximum beam of 3.45 m. If we look at the renderings, it is somewhat reminiscent of Botin’s TP52s in a small way: the deckhouse is barely hinted at to give the hull aerodynamics, and the cockpit is very large. Another “racing” feature is the reverse-angle bow, the so-called “piercing bow” (which is used to “pierce” the wave instead of passing over it: especially in small boats, when you put the bow underwater you brake not a little, with a traditional bow straight).

Oddly enough, ICE Yachts has not yet officially unveiled the boat, which nevertheless appears among the models on its website. www.iceyachts.it
