IF YOU WANT TO HAVE FUN
Winner of “European Yacht of the Year 2010,” the Seascape 18 is a 5 1/2-meter capable of excellent performance. As of summer 2011, the hull was imported to Italy by Franchi Yachts. The shipyard has placed great emphasis on quality, so much so that the basic version is offered with a carbon mast, Pentex sails and nylon gennaker, and Dyneema halyards, shrouds, and board lines. In addition, the hull is presented fully armed Ronstan.
REGATTAS BUT NOT ONLY
The narrow monotype guarantees fun in regattas: the class organizes together with the owners a good calendar of events, especially in France, Belgium and Slovenia. But the Seascape 18 is not limited to being an outlet valve for competition junkies: the retractable centreboard (as, moreover, are the rudders), which from 1.5 meters can go up to 15 centimeters, makes it easy to use for cruising, allowing you to get to the beach. In addition, the ultralight carbon mast makes the boat’s rigging require minimal effort. There is room for two people on board: more like “nautical camping” than cruising.
