Hanse 455, cruising but not too much

Itwill be ready for launch in July, the new Hanse 455, the brainchild of the Judel/Vrolijk studio, featuring the usual pursuit of comfort, typical of the German shipyard, but with a focus on performance. This is underscored by a large mast and the possibility of having a triple keel configuration: the standard, T-bulb one (2.25-meter draft), the L-shaped one (same draft), and an L-shaped but shorter length version (1.82 meters).

The boat is controlled by a single blade that is operated by two rudders. Standard motorization includes a Volvo penta D2-55 (53 hp) with saildrive. Numerous storage spaces on board: the cockpit lockers are large, both those under the benches and the one located in the floor. At the bow, a technical area that can accommodate sails is directly accessible from the deck. Maneuvers are deferred in the cockpit, near the two wheelhouses, and the jib is self-tacking, so that this 14-meter vessel can be steered even with an extremely small crew. Optional, but really convenient for relaxing while cruising, a 1.90×1.55 m sundeck above the forward cabin.

INTERIOR
Below deck, the default layout consists of three cabins: two aft and one forward (equipped with a separate toilet with sink on the port side and shower compartment on the starboard side), with the option of dividing the forward one into two separate cabins. An especially useful option if you are used to “crowded” cruises or for charter companies. In terms of the square, the shipyard also offers a double solution: one with a U-shaped sofa around the table on the starboard side, an L-shaped sofa on the port side, and the other in which the latter is replaced with a coffee table and two swivel chairs. The second shower room is squared off to the left, to the side of the entrance staircase, while the spacious L-shaped galley is housed in front. Brightness is one of the key points, guaranteed by 20 windows, portholes and hatches on board-a plus in terms of ventilation as well.

The price of the new Hanse 455 is set at 169,900 euros excluding VAT.
