From one to ten: How much would you like to be here?

Would you like to be in one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean, doing battle aboard the queens of the sea? Blessed are the participants in the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous, the event organized by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in cooperation with Boat International Media in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. In the crystal waters many dream boats from the world’s most prestigious shipyards-Perini, Royal Huisman, Fitzroy, Nautor’s Swan and Southern Wind.

SUPERBOATS AND SUPER SAILORS
The fleet includes a diverse range of boats: from the 24.6-meter Aiyana, launched in 2010 and flying the New York Yacht Club pennant, to Hetairos, a 67-meter giant launched in 2011 and already a winner at Virgin Gorda in the Transatlantic Superyacht Regatta. The 20 boats are grouped into three divisions (A, B, C-divided according to the International Superyacht Rule): nourished by the presence of tacticians of the highest level and great experience. Bouwe Bekking, a veteran of six editions of the Volvo Ocean Race, is aboard Nilaya, a high-performance 34-meter cruiser, while Francesco De Angelis serves as tactician on Rainbow, the 40-meter J-Class chartered for the occasion by Pier Luigi Loro Piana. There is also Vasco Vascotto aboard Roberto Tomasini Grinover’s Robertissima, Among the event’s new entries is the 27.5-meter Tempus Fugit: launched last year, it combines classic design with cutting-edge technical features and counts British match racing champion Andy Green among its crew in the role of tactician.
