Italia Yachts’ new flagship was one of the most anticipated boats of the year. An expectation created by the Chioggia shipyard with the success of the last models launched: the 10.98 and 13.98, The curiosity to see what they would offer on a 16-meter hull was therefore great. Expectation fulfilled. A balance of round lines and step on waves that becomes an aesthetic issue. After seeing it on the dock, with its sharp, slightly upturned bow, at the winter shows, I was waiting to try it on the water to test its performance. I arrive in the lagoon of Chioggia and the 15.98 is waiting for me with Franco Corazza, owner and project manager of the shipyard, and Stefano Quaggiotti, Italy sales manager.

It has taken more than two years of study and work to get to launch the new Pogo 3, a 6.50-meter on which Chantier Structures has staked so much to take back the throne of the Mini class. A milestone that also marks 20 years since the birth of the first Pogo, launched in 1994 designed by Pierre Rolland (an incredible success, with 124 units sold), which was followed in 2002 by Pogo 2 (115 hulls launched) by Finot-Conq.
