Check out the first images of the XC 35, the 9-meter X-Yachts

Danish shipyard X-Yachts returns after a year dedicated to its “Performance” boats to enrich its “Cruiser” range. The new creation of owner and designer Niels Jeppesen goes by the name XC 35.

Designed by Niels Jeppesen, the XC 35 will become the newest member of the renowned category of avant-garde cruisers, which focus, in order to gain public favor, on a high level of sailing comfort, made possible by a heavier relative displacement and a deeper hull. Its deep-V hull facilitates sailing among large waves, especially in upwind gaits. The elegance of this boat is achieved through good overall proportion and remarkable purity of lines. The hull work is quite narrow and streamlined (with an interesting and slightly set back maximum beam) and the bow sections are extremely fine, giving the hull an aggressive look.

Below deck, the XC 35 provides a traditional and functional layout in selected and elegantly finished teak. The interiors enjoy maximum ventilation and excellent brightness due to the presence of interestingly sized pass-throughs.
The design on deck adopts special solutions and will be bound to cause discussion, particularly the glazed “windshield” on the deckhouse. Its presence, at the moment we do not know whether optional or standard, is certainly suitable for the northern European market. The reception on the Italian one will have to be checked.
