The week of the Cannes Boat Show has kicked off with its 972 exhibitors and an energy that every year manages to involve more and more enthusiasts and yards, drawn to the pearl of the French Riviera. After presenting you with this season’s trends, during our first round we went to unearth the new products previewed at the Salon of which we provide you with a first small taste. Beneteau, in celebration of the shipyard’s 130th anniversary, is not content with one but presents two new entries coloring its presence blue and orange. After a few years of fasting, the French shipyard is back on big sizes in its queen range by launching the new Beneteau Oceanis 60, which seduced us with a truly prestigious Nauta-designed interior, a huge garage for the tender, and conveniences of all kinds in the cockpit.
It then introduces a new “baby” theOceanis 35, which follows the philosophy of its big brother, the 38, focusing on modularity of interior spaces and ease of operation.
Among the most anticipated boats was the Dehler 46, the construction of which was announced in Dusseldorf and which stands out for the possibility of arming the boat either for cruising use or, for sportier owners, with a more racer look and characterized by keel mast in addition to a carbon fiber reinforced hull.
Dufour presents its new 382 Grand Large leaving us waiting to see in the water the already announced 350 Grand Large that will be positioned “in scale,” between the 382 and 310. The 382 GL is distinguished by the possibility of choosing as many as six different interior layout designs going from a version more suitable for charters to one ideal for a couple with children aiming for a hull that is small in size and easy to carry.
At the last minute, the German shipyard Hanse also managed to bring its latest addition to Cannes, theHanse 455, which promises improved performance, features an even brighter interior, and a really comfortable forward sunbathing area for a 45-foot hull.
Elan announces three new developments: the renaming of its two ranges that will be divided between Elan Yachts and Impression Yachts. It then unveils theImpression 45 andImpression 35 for its more cruising linein Cannes.
Jeanneau isalsothinking big and brings to the dock the new 64-footer whose full test you can find at this link. www.giornaledellavela.com/news/?p=7321
And to finish this first roundup, we could not miss the elegant Solaris 58 born of the collaboration between the Italian shipyard and the Argentine Javier Soto Acebal and striking for its distinctive slightly upturned prow and extremely elegant deck design.
