Mälo 47.
Nordic with a Mediterranean heart
In just under fifteen meters, the Swedish shipyard has managed to combine the safety features characteristic of Nordic boats, with an interior design that is close to Mediterranean taste. The heart of life on deck could only be the central cockpit, to which maneuvers are deferred and which allows the boat to be steered safely even in challenging weather conditions. Below deck we find plenty of natural light, provided by numerous portholes and hatches. In square here is the large C-shaped sofa on the left, which is countered by two single armchairs on the starboard side. Data: length. 14.65 m; wd. 4.12 m; sup.vel. 177 sq. m.

When the deckhouse is raised
a
The decision to raise the deckhouse allowed the shipyard to achieve a particularly livable living area, with a large C-shaped dinette positioned on the port side, while on the starboard side we find the chart table, followed by the equipped linear galley. The interior layout is spread over several levels, increasing the already remarkable feeling of height. On deck, the self-tacking jib comes in handy when sailing alone or with a small crew. Data: length. 11 m; larg. 3.60 m; sup.vel. 67 sq. m.
Island Packet Estero Originality made in the USA.
She has an unmistakable line, with her elongated deckhouse and bombered, self-tacking jib, a cream hull and deck color that makes her recognizable anywhere, and interiors that are unique in Italy. We are talking about the Estero, one of the flagship models of the American shipyard Island Packet. Why unique interiors? Because the arrangement is original, with the square moved to the extreme bow, while the main cabin is on the port side aft and slightly further to starboard is a second cabin followed by the bathroom. To the left, here is the U-shaped kitchen. Data: length. 11.10 m; larg. 3.76 m; sup.vel. 65.78 sq. m.
AY 480 The ocean speaks Italian
A cutter that was designed by Davide Zerbinati, conceived under the banner of easy sailing and with the possibility of modifying it to meet the needs of each individual owner. The cockpit is sheltered by the presence of a raised deckhouse and the hood that takes advantage of the presence of the rollbar. Having a pronounced deckhouse with very high windows gives a great advantage in terms of interior space, where the distinctive dinette stands out, from which there is access to the three cabins, two located in the stern and the master cabin in the bow, equipped with a private bathroom. Data: length. 14.62 m; wd. 4.50 m; sup.vel. 118.4 sq. m.
Ege Yat 40 DS Mamma ‘li turchi
High deckhouse, very sheltered cockpit and even a second wheelhouse in the square. The Turkish shipyard’s fourteen-and-a-half-meter boat proves to be the ideal boat for those who want to go to sea calmly and comfortably even in the bad season. Its layout plays out on several levels, with two versions available, three- or four-cabin. Data: length. 14.62 m; wd. 4.50 m; sup.vel. 118.4 sq. m.
Amel 55 A classic that has had a makeover
Compared to the historic Amel models, this 55-footer stands out for its more refined finish, a feature shared with its 64-foot big brother. The hull is made of composite, fiberglass fabric and monolithic layered isophthalic resin. The masts are made of aluminum and rest on the deck. Everything is done in-house by the site-a major strength. Data: length. 17.30 m; wid. 4.99 m; sup.vel. 151 sq. m.
Hallberg-Rassy 55 Synonymous with northern seas.
The Swedish shipyard’s latest is once again a design by German Frers, closely related conceptually to the previous 64-footer: so many openings and portholes in tempered glass that ensure maximum lighting below deck. The hull lines are sleek and a bit lower than usual, especially at the bow. Once again, speaking of Hallberg-Rassy, we are dealing with a boat designed for long sailings, designed, however, to be carried even with an extremely small crew. In fact, most of the maneuvers can be operated simply by pushing a button. Data: length. 16.68 m; wd. 4.69 m; sup.vel. 156 square meters.
Oyster 625 Solid and pure performance If the name Oyster is already synonymous with the ocean and great sailing, with this nineteen-footer the British shipyard asked Rob Humphreys (already the father of many Oyster models) to design a hull capable of guaranteeing high-level performance in terms of speed as well. Also to be seen in this light is the choice of a not insignificantly sized sail plan that reaches a total of 235 square meters. The raised deckhouse very well shelters the central cockpit dedicated to guests and separated from the wheelhouse area. Aft we then find a sizeable space that can be used as a sunbathing area. Internally, the extra-large saloon leads to the full-beam master cabin. Data: length. 19.32 m; wd. 5.44 m; sup.vel. 235 sq. m.
Contest 57 CS Everything “homemade”
On the market for three years but already become a classic. is the fate of the seventeen-footer with which the Dutch shipyard had celebrated its fiftieth anniversary. Built totally “in house,” it is constructed of balsa sandwich and vacuum infusion to combine strength and lightness. The cockpit is divided in two, with the aft section reserved for helms and rigging and one designated for guests, with two benches on either side of the central passage connecting the saloon to the stern. Owners can choose from a number of layouts, all of which share a focus on light and space, flexible especially in terms of the number of beds. In any case you always have at least two bathrooms. Data: length. 17.25 m; wd. 5.12 m; sup. vel. 176 sq. m.
Moody 62 DS Cockpit and saloon on one level
The Moody DS range takes up the concept of a monohull, where the cockpit and saloon are located on the same level, as is the case on catamarans. The key word is full options, from the lead keel and epoxy hull made by infusion to electric winches. The cockpit is covered by a sliding roof is totally clear of rigging, which is all deferred to the winches at the end of the paramare. The interior is thus arranged on two levels, with the sleeping area lowered and providing three cabins and three bathrooms in different arrangements. Data: length. 19.30 m; wid. 5.25 m; sup.vel. 184 sq. m.

Double rudder wheel: when racing serves cruising
double rudder wheel is now almost a must-have for the majority of boats on the market but, in reality, it is a requirement that originated well back in time, for racing. Like so many arrangements developed for competition, however, it
