“All is Lost” and “In Solitaire” are the two films that are bringing sailing back to the top in theaters around the world this season. A success not seen in a long time. Now an all-Italian production also appears to be on its way, with the production company Fandango and Rai Cinema involved. The protagonist of “The Race,” this at the moment seems to be the title of the film to be directed by young director Matteo Rovere, will have to try her hand at numerous training scenes at sea.
Because of this, the hunt for the actress has already begun. Requirements? The leading lady must be between 18 and 22 years old, sail at a high level, and athletic physique, determination and correct diction are required. All interested parties should send their contact information (phone and email) and bio specifying their age, place of birth, any experience in film or television for how many years they have been sailing (or in other sports) and at least three photos (close-up, half-length and full-length) to ca**********@***il.com.
Auditions for selected candidates will be held in January 2014, and filming is scheduled to take place between spring and summer 2014.
