arcAt 12:45 a.m. Nov. 23, 2014, the record edition of the ARC, the rally that is the world’s busiest regatta/race in Atlantic Ocean, departs from Las Palmas in Gran Canaria , arriving on the island Caribbean of St. Lucia after 2,700 miles of sailing, with arrival scheduled to start Dec. 7.

This year 250 boats will start and over 2,000 sailors. Boats of all kinds with the only limitation being a minimum length of 27 feet (about 8 meters). If you would like to participate in this experience you can turn to

which puts at Single berth passage arrangement. A course is planned at Southampton (RYA Sea Survival) and intensive courses during the navigation to eventually become proven ocean navigators. The base price is a whopping 3,750 pounds. The experience lasts from Nov. 17 to Dec. 13.
