We are only a few days away from the launch, but we are starting to show you the stretched renderings of the new 37-footer born from the collaboration of Cossuti Yacht Design and the Salona Italia shipyard. The designs born of the Italian designer’s talented flair do not hide the desire to race to win the 2014 ORC World Championship in Kiel. The hull is made of basalt fiber and epoxy, construction materials that, in addition to ensuring environmental friendliness, will provide excellent structural rigidity critical to producing outstanding performance. This new eleven-footer was built in the Monfalcone factories and will take to the water later this week. A younger sister of the 45-footer, of which it represents a sort of downward evolution, this 37-footer will be sponsored by Audi Quattro, who evidently believes strongly in the potential of this new project, whose hull number one will be in the hands of a Finnish team under the orders of skipper Jani Lethi who will rely on the tactics of Enrico Zennaro to make its debut on the race courses scheduled for the Lignano regattas of the Two Gulfs Trophy to be followed by the ORC national selection in Chioggia.
