In this photo by Max Ranchi, there is all the spectacle and adrenaline that only TP52s can deliver. We are off to a start at Ford Vignale Valencia Sailing Week, the first European event of the season for the 52 Super Series.
THE FORMULA ONE OF SAILING
The 52 Super Series continues to represent the highest level of real-time monohull racing, allowing freedom in design and technological development. The circuit has continued to grow since it was established in 2012 by a group of passionate owners who shared the vision and push to maintain the high standard of this fast, high-performance craft: There are 14 teams entered today, including Azzurra, the hull of Alberto Roemmers (Vasco Vascotto at tactician) the bearer of the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, which is aiming for victory.
2015 APPOINTMENTS
The 52 SUPER SERIES includes two circuits from tied events starting at the beginning of the season in the U.S. followed by a series of four regattas in the most beautiful European locations between May and September. This year, after the Valencia event (May 19-23) it will be the turn of the Week of the Mouths (June 9-13) in Porto Cervo before returning to Spain where the World Championship (July 14-18 in Mallorca) and the 34th Copa del Rey MAPFRE (August 4-8, Mallorca) will be held. It will close Sept. 16-20 in Cascais, Portugal, with the Cascais Cup.
