This collaboration, established over the years sees total synergy in the promotion and strategic organization of the event. The VELAFestival thus takes the name TAG Heuer VELAFestival.

TAG Heuer, our partner

TAG Heuer has been the official sponsor and the main partner for the festival since its first edition. This synergy between these two brands lead to the name of TAGHeuerVELAFestival

TAG Heuer, over 150 years of history

Founded in 1860 in Saint-Imier by Edouard Heuer, TAG Heuer, a legend of Swiss watchmaking of which it is one of the most innovative brands, has made its mark on history especially in the field of chronography and absolute precision, thus establishing a deep connection with the sporting universe. From the 1920 Olympic Games to its role as the official chronograph and watch of the legendary Indy 500 today, TAG Heuer is continually striving for innovation, excellence, performance and prestige. This ambition is reflected in winning the prestigious “Aiguille d’Or” award from the Grand Prix de l’Horologerie de Genève in 2012, and in various partnerships with celebrities, teams and champions such as Leonardo Di Caprio, Cameron Diaz, F1 driver Jenson Button and tennis player Maria Sharapova. TAG Heuer is also a partner of Team Oracle Racing, defender of the 34th America’s Cup and winner of the 2012-2013 America’s Cup World Series, for which it created the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer watch series. TAG Heuer has written some of the most important chapters in Swiss watchmaking history, such as the invention of the oscillating pinion of the Microtimer (the first wrist chronograph accurate to 1/100th of a second) in 1887. Reinventing a collection of legendary models that meet today’s tastes and, at the same time, creating new watches by working on innovative concepts that integrate advanced technology are the activities that have always been part of product development at TAG Heuer. And the world of sports is the source of inspiration for this prestigious Swiss company.
