TAG Heuer VELA Cup Venice / Round The Lido Race: not to be missed!
There is one place in the world that allows boaters to experience all the beauty of the sea and at the same time immerse themselves in the art, history, and elegance of an entire city that has been floating on water for centuries. We are talking about Venice of course and its lagoon. A wonder of nature where the force of the wind slams against calle and canals, where the tide stops the time of the inhabitants, and where water literally flows under the beds of houses. A unique, magical and fragile balance, which when experienced under sail is even more evocative and cannot fail to leave one enraptured.

If you have never had such an experience, there is a truly unmissable opportunity. It is the TAG Heuer VELA Cup/Round The Lido Race, a memorable celebration of sailing open to all types of boats and crews of all levels that goes on stage next July 23. An event in which the philosophy of the racing circuit organized by the Giornale della Vela meets the work and enthusiasm of the Compagnia della Vela, one of the most prestigious and oldest yacht clubs in Italy.
Easy entries and prizes for all
As in all stages of the TAG Heuer Vela Cup, boats of all types can participate in the Round The Lido Race: racing or cruising, modern and classic, small and large. There is no need for a tonnage certificate to line up for the start, just fill out a simple form with boat details and they will be entered in homogeneous classes by length. There is room for those who want to sail quietly and those who want to race against the clock, and everyone can win something: the first place finishers in each category, the most beautiful and curious boats, and the vintage boats. Plus prestigious prizes will be raffled off, starting with a beautiful TAG Heuer Aquaracer.

Elan Cup also on the same breathtaking course
And then there is the masterpiece of the course set up during the TAG Heuer VELA Cup/Round The Lido Race with the fleet of crews parading from the Venice Lido to St. Mark’s Square. And right in front of this symbolic place of the city, on St. George’s Island, which is also the sporting headquarters of the Sailing Company, the prize-giving party and entertainment and games on the water reserved for all participants will take place.
Finally, there is an event within the event. In fact, the Round The Lido Race is also combined with the Elan Cup, which is open to all owners of the Slovenian shipyard’s boats imported by Adria Ship who will, among other things, have free registration for the VELA Cup.
In short, the TAG Heuer VELA Cup/Round The Lido Race is an experience not to be missed between nature and beauty, great fun and relaxation. All shipowners in the upper-middle Adriatic are on notice. We are waiting for you!
