Once again, hands in the pockets of boaters. A tax may be coming for Those who engage in sport fishing. So even those who, during their cruises, cast their trolling hooks in the hope of hooking a tuna or dolphinfish (by the way, here a lot of advice).
The rule is included in the “Fisheries Sector” bill (under consideration in committee). It provides for the payment of an annual license: while the cost is almost negligible, 10 euros annually which becomes 20 if fishing from motor boats, we would like to emphasize the futility of the rule.
BUT YES, LET’S COMPLICATE LIFE!
Was there really a need? In our opinion absolutely not. For laughable revenue, a new wizardry is added to the bureaucratic cauldron, rather than thinning it out. The controls will be the responsibility of the Port Authorities (not surprisingly, according to the proposal, recipients of 30 percent of the revenues to cover expenses). How will such controls take place? Will there be “flagrante delicto”? If you are found on board trolling line and feather duster, perhaps unused for years, how will you be able to prove that you are not using them?
WHY PAY THOSE WHO DESTROY THE SEA?
We also learn from the rule that a remaining 10% will go as a “windfall” to CONI (read FIPSAS, the national sports fishing federation, which has overwhelmingly rejected this proposal, which it considers to be very harmful to its members) and 60% to professional fishermen (to ensure their income during the closed fishing season).
We miss one detail. We go to sea out of passion. We set the lines at best to get a dinner cruise. Why we should fund the fishing cessation on the proposal of “lobbyists or fixers” – are the words of Gabriele Tubertini, owner of one of Italy’s most famous fishing tackle companies – “whose only interest is the economic implication, which concerns a section of professional fishermen who without rules and limits are depopulating our seas.”?

In 1979 a shipyard was born that was destined to carve its name in the history of yachting: it was X-Yachts, of which the legendary X-79 became the standard-bearer. An excellent first design, signed Jeppesen, the small 7.9-meter would be
