You can join the race and challenge more than 50,000 boats and sÄ·ippers from all over the world, directly from your computer, tablet or smartphone. The TAG Heuer VELA CUP Med Odyssey is, in fact, 100% virtual and will take place on the Virtual Regatta Offshore platform.
You will experience the thrill of being a superboat skipper. The Maxi 100-footer is a very high-tech racing yacht, which we have chosen and reproduced in 3D in detail to give you a realistic offshore racing experience.
Steering, trimming sails and setting course will be extremely easy. The Virtual Regatta Offshore game is user-friendly and captivating. Moreover the game will be translated into Italian, exclusively for the TAG Heuer VELA CUP Med Odyssey.
TAG Heuer VELA CUP Med Odyssey will start in Genoa on May 15, 2021 and will end in Cagliari. The route passes through the Balearics to reach Tarifa and pass the Pillars of Hercules. Once you reach the Atlantic Ocean, the goal is Madeira, and once you have rounded the island, you can relive the thrill of crossing the Strait of Gibraltar. Then we will cross the whole southern Mediterranean, passing Malta, to go round Crete, and after having skirted the Greek islands, we will head towards Sicily, to return to the Tyrrhenian Sea and reach the arrival line in Cagliari.
Prizes include two TAG Heuer Acquaracer watches, as well as the opportunity to be protagonists in the VELA live coverage that will follow the LIVE event.
Registrations for the TAG Heuer VELA CUP Med Odyssey will open on 01 May 2021. Follow our social networks (Â Tag Heuer Vela Cup Mediterranean Odyssey)Â and stay tuned!
