THE PERFECT GIFT!
Give or treat yourself to a subscription to the print + digital Journal of Sailing and for only 69 euros a year you get the magazine at home plus read it on your PC, smartphone and tablet. With a sea of advantages.
Today we are talking about new and innovative product, it is the Cortex V1 from Vesper Marine, a VHF-AIS- MOB-GPS touch screen, which integrates with most of the instrumentation on board (Raymarine, Garmin, B&G etc).
Briefly, if you feel like you can elaborate with the video, the Cortex V1 contains two products, the M1 Blackbox control unit, which connected with its antenna (in the package) generates its own WiFi, which can connect the control unit with the phone or tablet (apple or android) and via NMEA2000 interfaces with the on-board instruments.
It contains all the important functions for boater safety and more, such as the anti-collision device and anchor watch, which will allow you to set the anchor point and sleep soundly, both on and off the boat, given the ability to read everything on your mobile.
The V1 is then complemented by the VHF handset with touch screen, where all the functions described above can be controlled. We leave you below our video of the unboxing and the references of the manufacturer (in English) and the Italian distributor, soon to be present also in our Boatique, the store of Milano Yachting Week.
