The Fora Marine shipyard, builder of the RM sailboats, the famous fast offshore sailcruisers with an inimitable style and high construction quality, has been under a new management for a little more than one year. The news was officially announced last February, after the default of the brand. The new owner is the Grand Large Yachting group that already counts prestigious brands like Allures Yachting, Garcia Yachts, Outremer e Gunboat. But there’s another important piece of news.
Former owner of the RM sailing yard, Martin Lepoutre is back in the company. He will exercise the general management, without returning to the capital. The Grand Large Yachting group, which purchased the assets of the Fora Marine shipyard from the Bordeaux commercial court, has decided to entrust Martin Lepoutre with the management of the RM Yachts shipyard. Excellent news for all fans of these boats is the sign that the Grand Large Group strongly believes in the shipyard and wants strong guidance for its future.
The latest addition to the RM Yachts range is the 11.80 designed by Marc Lombard, a truly unconventional boat that brings the philosophy and design of ocean open boats into the world of cruising, with original solutions for the interiors and the deck. As in the RM style, a shipyard that has made innovation its trademark.
